The Center for Renewable Energy and Climate
Actions (CRECA) was founded in March 2023 when five like-minded friends met
online with a shared passion for climate action and sustainability. Since then,
CRECA has grown into a platform for advocacy, innovation, and community
empowerment, driving change in clean energy, agriculture, WASH, and natural
resource governance.
CRECA is a leading organization working to build
a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. We promote climate change
adaptation and mitigation by empowering communities with knowledge, tools, and
practices that reduce environmental impact. Our work includes raising awareness
and encouraging the adoption of renewable energy technologies, while also
advocating for policies and incentives that speed up the transition to clean
energy. Beyond energy, CRECA supports sustainable agriculture to strengthen food
security, advances WASH initiatives to improve access to safe water and
sanitation, and champions transparency in the extractive sector to ensure
natural resources benefit everyone. Guided by integrity and accountability, we
are committed to creating lasting change that uplifts communities and protects
our environment.
CRECA has a multi-disciplinary team with
advanced degrees in Soil Science; Climate Change and Sustainable Development, Finance, Environmental Science, Engineering, Management, and Renewable
Energy, coupled with practical field experiences in community mobilization,
farmer training, and climate justice advocacy.
